Delete your Vessel account
You can delete your Vessel account (made by UpLevel Technologies LLC) at any time, in the app or by email.
In the app
- Open Vessel and sign in.
- Go to Settings › Delete account. Practice team members (such as billers and schedulers) find Delete account on their home screen. It’s also offered on the email confirmation, two-step setup and approval screens.
- Read what will be deleted and kept, then confirm.
Without the app
Email privacy@vesseltherapist.com from the email address on your Vessel account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you can’t use that address, tell us, and we’ll ask you to confirm who you are another way. We never ask for your password.
What happens next
- Right away: your account is turned off. You’re signed out everywhere and can’t sign in.
- Within 30 days: our privacy team completes the deletion and emails you, including what we had to keep.
- Changed your mind? Email support@vesseltherapist.com before the deletion is complete and we can turn your account back on. After that, it can’t be undone.
- Want a copy first? Request one in the app under Settings › Privacy and data before you delete your account, or email privacy@vesseltherapist.com.
- Therapists: cancel your Vessel subscription on the web first, so you’re not billed again.
What’s deleted and what’s kept
Deleted: your sign-in; your profile, including your name, contact details and photo (and, for therapists, license details and the profile clients see); your conversations with the Vessel companion or assistant and everything the companion remembers about you; your settings; and your AI and voice usage history.
Kept, because the law requires it: a client’s care record is a medical record. Secure messages with the therapist, reflections, session notes, transcripts, treatment plans, forms, appointments, billing records with the therapist, and AI summaries already shared with the therapist are kept by the therapist’s practice, by default for 7 years after the client’s last service, or longer where a state’s law requires. They stay linked only to the anonymized account. Records of who accessed health information are kept for 6 years, as HIPAA requires, and reports of harmful content are kept too. Deleted information may stay in encrypted backups for up to 14 weeks.
Details are in our Privacy Policy.
